
Glenn L. Friedman,
CPA
Glenn
is the managing member of Metis Group. He was raised in Ridgefield,
NJ. He attended Rutgers University and graduated with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Accounting in May of 1979. Glenn's career
started at Loeb, Bloch and Wacksman, an international law firm specializing
in foreign tax havens. He later worked in the tax
department of Grant Thorton, an international accounting firm, where
he was responsible for many national and multinational accounts. In
January 1987, Glenn co-founded the firm which ultimately became Metis
Group. He is a member of the AICPA, New Jersey State Society
of CPA’s,
New York State Society of CPA’s and Connecticut Society of CPA’s.
He has held various committee positions including the limited
partnership committee and community affairs committee.
Edward Benedetto, CPA
Ed was
raised in New York City. He attended Brooklyn College and graduated
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1981. Ed
initially worked for Pinto, Winokour and Pagano, CPA’s and later
joined Mann, Judd, Landau, CPA’s. Ed is the Director of Tax Services.
He is a member of the AICPA.
Barry C. Zuckerman, CPA/ABV
Barry
has more than twenty-five years of experience in the accounting and business
community. He has earned an industry-wide reputation in the field of forensic
accounting, specializing in business valuations, matrimonial matters and expert
testimony. He was previously associated with local, regional and international
accounting firms where his practice concentration was in accounting and auditing.
Barry received a Bachelor of Science degree from Farleigh Dickinson University.
He is certified in New Jersey and is a member of the New Jersey Society
of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs.
Robert P. Mollenhauer,
CPA, CFP
Bob grew
up in Brentwood, Long Island, New York. He attended Regis High School
in Manhattan. He graduated Cum Laude from S.U.N.Y. at Albany in 1970
with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1971, he received a Master of
Science degree in Educational Administration, also from S.U.N.Y. at
Albany. From 1970 to 1975, Mr. Mollenhauer taught Chemistry and Earth
Science at East Islip High School, East Islip, New York. During this
period, he was awarded three National Science Foundation Grants and
earned a Master of Science degree in Outdoor Education and Earth & Atmospheric
Science. In 1977, Bob obtained his accounting degree from
Queens College. In August 1978, Bob’s
accounting career started with Phillips, Gold & Co., a small regional
firm in New York City, where he concentrated in royalty and licensing
audits. Bob became a Certified Financial
Planner in May of 1994 and currently holds a Series 7 broker’s
license. He is a member of the AICPA and New York State Society of CPA’s.
Steven B. Fromer, CPA
Steve is
a graduate of Upsala, received his M.B.A. from Farleigh Dickinson University
and is licensed as a CPA in New York. He is a member of the management
consulting services division of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants and is also certified as a Novell System Manager.
In 1985, Mr. Fromer was in charge of the computer department of a mid-sized
accounting firm in New York City. There, he helped evaluate their computer
needs, including recommending, installing and supporting accounting
software systems. In 1991, Mr. Fromer started Acctrack Computer Consultants.
Acctrack has over four hundred successful installations; which includes
manufacturing companies, professional firms and service industries
with multiple locations.
Jerry Eitel, CPA
Jerry
has been practicing accounting for twenty-five years. He possesses
wide-ranging experience, with a particular emphasis on real estate.
He has also testified many times as an expert witness on bankruptcy
and insolvency matters, and has worked with numerous U.S. Bankruptcy
Trustees.
Jerry’s diverse clientele include a real estate company with
a half billion dollar portfolio as well as manufacturers and importers.
He has also serviced many large freight forwarders and customs house
brokers. Jerry graduated from Brooklyn College and received his MBA
from Long Island University. He has taught accounting at the college
level. He also possesses Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. He
currently resides in Huntington, New York with his wife and two children.
Lori A. Roth, CPA/ABV
Lori
has developed expertise in business valuations, business automation,
tax planning, and working with closely held businesses. She has spent
eighteen years working in public accounting and has managed her own
practices and partnerships since 1990.
Lori has expanded her practice to include working as a neutral accountant
(either court appointed or hired as a joint expert by both parties or
their attorneys). She works as a business valuator when necessary and
also as an impartial financial consultant when issues pertain to support
and equitable distribution. She has been involved in matrimonial cases
as well as shareholder disputes, corporate dissolutions, estate situations,
and business acquisitions.
Lori is certified in New Jersey and New York and is a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society
of Certified Public Accountants. Lori is also Accredited in Business
Valuation (ABV) from the AICPA. She is on the board of directors and
has become certified in Divorce Mediaion and has become a member of AFCC – NJ
Chapter (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts).
Lori had served as President and Vice President of the Board of Trustees
of Very Special Arts New Jersey, an organization devoted to providing
expanded arts opportunities to residents of New Jersey who are disabled.
She also served on the Advisory Board to South Brunswick Citizens for
Independent Living.
Michael Specht, CPA
Michael has
over 23 years in public accounting working with closely held companies
and individuals.He joined Meits Group in September 2006 after 9 years as
a partner in a small accounting firm located in New York City. That followed
8 years at the large regional accounting and consulting firm, Richard A.
Eisner & Company (now Eisner LLP). Michael works with business
clients in a wide range of industries with a specialty in professional
service firms, medical practices and real estate entities. He also assists
with the setup of accounting systems for newly formed companies. He
provides accounting, consulting and tax planning and compliance services
for these companies.
Mr. Specht is a member of the AICPA and New York State Society of CPA's. He
is a past member of the NYS Society's Entertainment and Sports Committee.
Michael has a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New
York at Albany and an MBA from City University of New York/Baruch College
with a specialization in accounting.
Nancy
Kelly, CPA, RN, MST
Nancy has 25 years experience providing assurance, tax and business advisory
services exclusively to the not-for-profit industry, including education,
healthcare, human services and cultural sectors. Nancy actively monitors
and advises clients, trade associations, and the business community on the
impact that adopted and proposed governance, accounting and tax changes are
having on the not for profit sector. She has worked with the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Human Services and was one of the original
authors of the Uniform Financial Report in Massachusetts. She has clients
across the country and teaches the proper management of government funds for
the US. Department of Health and Human Services. Nancy has a Masters in Taxation
from Bentley College, a BA from Boston College and a degree in Nursing from
Laboure College. Nancy is certified in Massachusetts and New York.
